Code of Conduct
1. This Code of Conduct applies to all participants, crew members and organizers.
2. Be a nice person, everyone is here to have a good time, and we can only do it in a collaborative, understanding and compassionate environment.
3. Don’t assume that someone else is acting wrong/negative on purpose. We all make mistakes, let’s communicate in an open fashion.
4. We encourage all participants to talk to one another using the Look-Down mechanic when there is doubt about someone’s intentions or actions. Immersion isn’t a gate to be permanently broken but a veil to be briefly parted, and people are always more important than larp.
5. Any form of out-of-game harassment, bullying or violence will not be tolerated and may result in a participant being removed from the game, participants who are removed in this way are not eligible for a refund..
6. Each person is entitled to their own boundaries, which should be respected by all participants, organizers, and crew.
7. We encourage “open chair policy”, which means leaving space for others to participate in scenes and conversations.
8. We will not allow racism, sexism, sexual orientation-based discrimination, ableism, or any other discrimination, including that based on real-life religion, age, appearance, quirks etc.
9. Off-game safety requires all participants to familiarize themselves with the escalation and deescalation mechanics introduced at the pregame workshops and delivered before the game in the form of written materials.
10. In order to provide a safe larping experience, Tenebra as an organization will not provide or serve alcohol of any kind at our events. Consuming your own alcoholic beverages is not forbidden, but strongly discouraged. Participants who are deemed drunk and therefore may cause discomfort or danger to themselves or other participants will be removed from the game at our discretion, they are not eligible for a refund. Roleplaying drunkenness is alright as long as it is done safely and doesn’t cause issues for other players.
11. Participants are required to inform the organizers about any personal medical or health needs.
12. Failure to follow this Code of Conduct may result in being removed from the game without eligibility for a refund.
